A 75 year old man went to sell his vast quantity of 57 hour old puppies at the local market. When asked how many puppies he had, he replied:

 Son, I can't count past 100 but I know that: 

 If you divide the number of puppies by 2 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 3 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 4 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 5 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 6 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 7 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 8 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 9 there will be one puppy left.
 If you divide the number of puppies by 10 there will be one puppy left.  

Finally. If you divide the Number of puppies by 11 there will be NO PUPPIES left!
