Real Madrid are reportedly trying to sell Isco in order to fund a deal for James Rodriguez, according to sports news site beIN Sports.
Madrid have almost reached an agreement with Monaco for Rodriguez but it will cost around €90 million and even a club as rich as the European champions will have to cut a player from their squad in order to fund such a massive transfer.
Apparently that player will be Isco. The Spaniard arrived at the Bernabeu last summer but didn’t cement a spot in the team nor did he overly impress, fading into the shadow of fellow new boy Gareth Bale.
Isco scored eight goals and made six assists last season and Liverpool are said to be interested. As well as his mooted departure, it’s likely that Sami Khedira and Angel Di Maria will also leave the club.
